Today, I’m going to talk to you about a book, more precisely a manga. Recently, I’ve taken a passion (a little passion) for manga. So I’m not a professional in this type of book, but I can tell you that it’s not the same category of manga as Naruto. We are in very realistic manga with life stories. So this manga is the work of Jirô Taniguchi published in 2014.
This book is the story of Tomoji. We accompany him on his journey through life. She goes from a child to a young girl. From young girl to young woman. It is a very sweet and touching story, but it is also a love story. It was written in honour of Tomoji who really existed. She is the founder of a Buddhist temple in the Tokyo area. It is in memory of her that Jirô Taniguchi was invited to write this story. It is therefore based on real facts.
With this story, I stepped out of my comfort zone. I tackled a universe/world I didn’t know at all and I enjoyed it. With this manga, I crossed time and met a culture a thousand miles away from mine. It was quite simple, it was like a break. Moreover, it reads very fast. I finished it in one evening.
