This week (when I took the pictures) the weather was so nice that we almost forgot that just before it snowed. The weather in Belgium is so incomprehensible.
For this outfit, I wanted to be in-between a bit like spring. The summer garment here is this beautiful top that I got from my sister’s wardrobe. This is a very classy top in a beautiful colour that she had bought for a wedding. I believe that each piece can be diverted to different situations and that’s what I’ve done with this very dressy top. By combining it with wide jeans and an overshirt, I’ve made it more passe-partout. It would be enough to remove the overshirt and put on a skirt to completely change the mood of the top and I would be ready for a date. But that’s not the effect I wanted.
In creating this look, I wanted to be well dressed, but not overdressed and make sure I wasn’t too cold or too hot. So I opted for this overshirt, found on Vinted, which breaks up the classic aspect of the top and plays the role of a jacket. A piece that I wore all winter long with coats, but also in autumn as a jacket. In addition, the colour of the overshirt matches very well with the mint green of the top. I combined that with these jeans, which I bought in a thrift store, and they became my favourite. It gives a very oversized look, everything I like, but as soon as I take off the overshirt we find the delicate and vaporous side of the top. I finished the look with my new pair of boots, Dr. Martens platform. They are finally mine!!! To be honest, I keep putting them on, my other shoes are jealous.
